Have you wondered what Episcopal 4 U was all about? This adult class selects reading material relevant to our faith and reads it each meeting time while pausing to reflect and discuss.
So far we have worked our way thru the multi-volume set of Church Teachings, a detailed explanation of The Apostles’ Creed, and recently The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
This July we invite folks to sample the format in a “Mini- Episcopal 4 U”. We will explore our responses to the five questions at the end of the Baptismal Covenant using a Kathleen Norris book, Amazing Grace, a Vocabulary of Faith. Each week we will read several short essays from the book and explore our Baptismal commitments.
Plans are to meet in the Common Room, beginning at 7 p.m, but there will be an opportunity to join the meeting via Zoom. Purchase of the book is not necessary – essay copies will be made available. Please note your interest in participating – A sign-up sheet will be posted at church or call Judy Kile – so that sufficient materials are ready on July 1st.
Group Leaders, Meeting Facilitators, Club Leaders, etc.: If you have something to put on the church calendar, please use the Event Form to submit your meeting. Home -> News -> Submit Meeting Information.
