Youth
We would love to welcome you to join us for youth group here at Church of the Good Shepherd! We are known as “The Good Redeemers”, a joint youth group between youth at Church of the Redeemer and Church of the Good Shepherd, both Episcopal churches in the northland.
We are a diverse group of young people who are always having fun. We usually try to meet between 2-3 times per month with a
mix of fun activities like roller skating and going to play mini-golf or gathering at one of the churches in fellowship.
We also attend Diocesan events with other youth and adults from all over the Diocese of West Missouri. It is our goal with “The Good Redeemers” to always empower, educate, and explore the wonderful gifts that God has given to all of us. We hope you’ll join us!

Acolyte
Acolytes are typically youth (4th-12th grade) who serve with the clergy in leading worship at Good Shepherd. The word “acolyte” means “follower” or “one who helps.” Acolytes assist the clergy at the altar and in processions, carrying the crosses (crucifers), candles (torches), banners and flags. All parish youth are welcome to serve as acolytes, and new acolytes are trained throughout the school year.
